Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in primary care and/or correctional nursing, with a focus on patient education and preventative care. This role emphasizes collaboration with correctional officers to ensure patient and staff safety, while providing a supportive and therapeutic environment.
About the Role:We have multiple contracts available across Hospital & Health services in QLD, ranging from 4-12 weeks with potential for extension. Duties for this contract include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care in various settings, including primary care and/or correctional environments.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care based on individual needs and established protocols.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responding to changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and contributing to the development of patient care plans.
- Educating patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
- Managing acute and chronic health conditions.
- Ensuring all nursing protocols are followed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in primary care and/or correctional nursing, with a strong focus on patient education and preventative care.
- Knowledge of correctional environment regulations and policies.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work in dynamic environments.
- AHPRA Registration (must be current).
- National Police Check.
- Immunisation History.
- Additional Mandatory Trainings.
