This is a clinical leadership position that involves providing specialist therapeutic support to families, direct therapeutic work with children and young people, and delivering specialised training about trauma and therapeutic care.
The Therapeutic Specialist will act as a key member of the care team for each child or young person and be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic support to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist therapeutic support to families
- Direct therapeutic work with children and young people
- Deliver specialised training about trauma and therapeutic care
- Lead and manage in an area of challenging and complex practice
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline
- Eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of children, young people and families
- Highly developed ability to provide secondary consultation and advice to clinicians and other professionals
