Job Title: Classroom Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized professional to provide support for teachers, including assisting with planning of student routines, supporting communication between teachers and parents, and communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students.

  • Supports the educational services provided to students by promoting academic achievement and social development
  • Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Communicates with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information, using clear and concise language
  • Addresses immediate behavioral presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure, maintaining a safe and respectful environment
  • Provides basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting, fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Assists teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision, contributing to the overall success of the class

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Basic first aid training and certification
