This role plays a crucial part in delivering complex defence projects that safeguard Australia's future. It involves working on two business units: a consulting practice and a major service partner to Defence.
As an Assistant Product Manager, you will support the delivery and sustainment of the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) capability under the SHFC Program, contributing to both operational and strategic product management.
Key Responsibilities:- Support budget and finance activities for the Integrated Product Manager and Deputy Manager
- Assist with analysis and implementation of product management strategies to optimise Defence asset use
- Manage relationships with contractors for timely project requirements and risk communication
- Participate in acquisition program activities and working groups
- Provide feedback on deliverables and assist with transition tasks
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and effective communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools
- Experience working in fast-paced project environments with cross-functional teams, ideally from within the Defence industry
- Knowledge of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and Defence policies
- Ability to lead, coach, and support teams through strategy and change initiatives
