Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Fitness Team Leader to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our fitness department, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Group Fitness Instructors to deliver high-quality group exercise programs.

You will be expected to promote group fitness opportunities and initiatives to our members, increase member engagement, and enhance membership value. This includes managing the timetabling of up to 100 Group Fitness classes weekly, recruiting and developing new Group Fitness Instructors, and creating a positive and supportive team culture.

To succeed in this role, you will need a passion for fitness, significant experience as a Group Fitness Instructor, and previous managerial experience in a health club or gym environment. You should also hold relevant qualifications such as Registration with Fitness Australia, First Aid and CPR certifications, and Cert III in Group Exercise Instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of Group Fitness Instructors
  • Manage the timetabling of Group Fitness classes
  • Recruit and develop new Group Fitness Instructors
  • Create a positive and supportive team culture
  • Promote group fitness opportunities and initiatives to members
Requirements:
  • Passion for fitness
  • Significant experience as a Group Fitness Instructor
  • Previous managerial experience in a health club or gym environment
  • Registration with Fitness Australia
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Cert III in Group Exercise Instruction
