Perishables Manager Opportunity

Salary: $110K - $120K + Superannuation

Location: Conveniently located in Southwest Sydney

We are seeking a highly skilled Perishables Manager to lead our team in the perishables department.

About the Role

The Perishables Manager will be responsible for managing department operations, pursuing new business opportunities, ensuring compliance with local and international authorities, and building strong relationships with clients, agents, airlines, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage department operations to maintain high standards and efficiency
  • Pursue new business opportunities in the perishables sector, both nationally and internationally
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local and international authorities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes
  • Build strong relationships with clients, agents, airlines, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Successful experience as a Perishables Manager, preferably in Freight Forwarding & Logistics
  • Proven track record in business development, including identifying new opportunities, negotiating contracts and rates, and establishing strategic partnerships
  • In-depth knowledge of various transportation channels in the freight industry
  • Ability to consistently achieve and exceed KPIs and targets
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
