Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job DescriptionAs a Mental Health Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical quality and safety initiatives. Your expertise will enable you to provide safe, evidence-based care to patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
- Support patients and families in decision-making, advocacy, and discharge planning.
- Supervise and mentor ENs and AINs where required.
- Contribute to clinical quality, safety, and improvement initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
- A minimum of 5 years in mental health nursing.
- Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- A valid driver's license for regional and remote roles.
