Job Description

As a Mental Health Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical quality and safety initiatives. Your expertise will enable you to provide safe, evidence-based care to patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
  • Support patients and families in decision-making, advocacy, and discharge planning.
  • Supervise and mentor ENs and AINs where required.
  • Contribute to clinical quality, safety, and improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
  • A minimum of 5 years in mental health nursing.
  • Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A valid driver's license for regional and remote roles.
