The role of an Accounting Professional at a public practice involves working in flexible office locations across the East Coast of Australia. A successful candidate will be ambitious, keen to advance their career and work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • As an Accounting Professional, you will collaborate with leadership and contribute to key decisions.
  • You will maintain autonomous work while collaborating across the company.
  • Your tasks include preparing financial statements and tax returns for trusts, companies, and individuals, providing business advice on tax planning.
  • You must be results-driven, process- and efficiency-minded, and care for clients as part of a high-performing team.
  • Manage your workflow efficiently.
  • Delegate work to other team members based on your skill level.
  • Work hard during deadline-driven periods and enjoy rewarding outcomes with staff and clients.

Key Requirements
  • CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) with excellent communication skills is a necessity.
  • A degree qualification in Commerce, Business, or a related field is required.
  • At least 3 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or audit services (ideally within a chartered accounting environment).
  • You must be a strong team player.
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and data manipulation are critical.
  • Multitasking and attention to detail are essential.
  • You need to develop relationships across areas of the business and externally with partners.
  • A forward-thinking mindset in general accounting and administration support is necessary.
