We seek a professional and motivated individual to join our consultancy team as an R&D Tax Manager.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing R&D tax claims for clients from start-ups to multi-nationals across key industries
  • Acting as the primary contact for finance and technical personnel to collate information and build successful relationships
  • Advising clients on government grants and tax incentives
  • Reviewing project technical and expenditure workpapers in line with our quality processes
  • Mentoring and working with junior personnel to support their professional development
  • Documenting and/or supervising the documentation of R&D activity in accordance with guidelines

About You

We are seeking an individual who enjoys learning, embraces challenges, and has a broad interest in science, engineering, law, technology, or commerce.

This role focuses on assisting clients in obtaining and maximising the benefit from incentives available to industry, including R&D tax incentives and other grants. Ideally, you would have technical experience and be looking for the right environment to grow your career and leadership capabilities.

To succeed, you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in STEM, Software Engineering, Commerce, or Law (or related disciplines)
  • Demonstrated experience in R&D, preferably in a Big 4 or Mid-tier environment
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and collaborate with the team to deliver results
  • Ability to synthesise and communicate complex technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with an interest in innovation and a growth mindset
  • Experience with ATO and AusIndustry reviews and audits is highly regarded
