About the Role

MACA Civil Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer - Civil to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for providing technical input for design and construct contracts, developing scope of work documentation, and facilitating design and constructability reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical input for design and construct contracts and develop scope of work documentation.
  • Provide a focal point for technical based queries.
  • Liaise with both in-house and external designers and detailers as required for the successful completion of each project.
  • Assist in project reporting including cost forecast and schedule updates.
  • Facilitate in the management of third-party consultants who are engaged on large scale projects or as required for specialised design.
  • Interface with the design teams during design development of assigned areas.
  • Facilitate design and constructability reviews.
  • Support Project Manager in mitigation of risks and exploitation of opportunities throughout project delivery.
  • Promote cost savings and identify improvement opportunities with regards to design, engineering and work practices.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • 7+ years' experience on civil projects in a mining environment.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with people at all levels.
  • Effective organisation and planning skills.
  • Intermediate skills using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Project
  • Australian 'C' class drivers' licence.
  • White Card.
