The Operations team collaborates closely with business leaders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, including customer support, quality assurance, supply chain management, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. Focused on driving product innovation and operational excellence, the team aims to reduce time-to-market for new products, enhance cross-functional processes, and improve supply chain efficiency through digitization and automation.

This newly formed position within the global engineering leadership team serves as a catalyst for establishing a world-class maintenance and reliability engineering function. It ensures that ResMed continues to be a leader in sleep product production.

As part of a global manufacturing leadership team, you will work with counterparts globally to ensure consistency of approach and alignment where appropriate.

With strong leadership experience in Reliability Maintenance, you will stay up-to-date with current and future technologies, particularly data analytics, and its applications in improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a high-performing team, driven to deliver high-quality solutions, demonstrating ownership and accountability for services provided.
  • Actively foster a positive workplace culture and effective performance management.
  • Lead and champion reliability principles and defect elimination processes to continuously improve maintenance strategies and maximize equipment run-time.
  • Implement and manage compliance to health and safety management systems within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure visibility of safety activity and performance, proactively driving improvements.
  • Closely collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex/systemic issues.
  • Develop a strong data-driven approach to TPM and reliability engineering, focusing on improved OEE performance.
  • Effectively plan and organize deliverables within the team.
  • Drive Business Excellence through JDI, Lean, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance to all aspects of Quality, promoting a culture of excellence.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or Trades Qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, including leading, building, and developing teams, processes, and systems in reliability maintenance.
  • Strong aptitude for data analytics and data-driven improvements.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and engage employees.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong people leadership and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Good understanding of and experience in LEAN initiatives, WHS, and GMP processes.
  • Experience in highly regulated medical device manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Experience in structured root cause analysis.
