Civil Construction Trainee

This role will involve working outdoors in potentially challenging conditions, including heat, dust, and night shifts on a rotating roster. You will learn to construct and rehabilitate roads and road furniture, plan and organise work, carry out measurements and calculations, read and interpret plans and specifications, use hand and power tools, and control the work methods to ensure that construction work is carried out in an efficient and compliant manner.
The position offers an excellent above-award pay rate with potential overtime and penalty rates. You will also have the opportunity to obtain plant/machinery accredited tickets and complete a Nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III in Civil Construction - Road Construction Maintenance RII30915.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to complete the traineeship, be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative, and have a passion for 'hands on work' and a genuine desire to work in construction. You will also need to have a current Drivers Licence and reliable transport, be flexible to work days and potentially night works, and be willing to work away on a roster/rotation.
