Hospital Pharmacist-in-Charge: Clinical Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge to lead our pharmacy team at Forster Private Hospital in NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensary.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure pharmacy operations meet legal and safety standards.
- Oversee procurement, storage, and distribution of medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy.
- Manage and train pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to policies.
- Implement programs to improve safety and reduce medication errors.
- Oversee pharmacy budget, purchasing, and financial performance.
- Create and update pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison with other hospital departments.
- Counsel patients on medication use and safety.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced pharmacist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. As a successful candidate, you will have:
- A current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist.
- Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
