Innovation Leader Scholarship

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to participate in the CSIRO Industry PhD Program. This program focuses on applied research to solve real-world challenges and benefit industry.
- The successful candidate will be part of Project 2: Techniques and Frameworks for Enabling Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Migration, which develops techniques for migration to post-quantum cryptography to secure critical infrastructure from quantum attacks.
- Candidates should possess a strong security background in cryptography, mathematics, information security, or a related field.
This scholarship opportunity aims to produce the next generation of innovation leaders with skills to work at the interface of research and industry in Australia.
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Australia on a permanent basis.
Key benefits include:
- Admission to a university PhD program,
- Supervision by participating university, an industry partner,
- A four-year scholarship package totalling approximately $47,000 per annum tax exempt,
- A four-year Project Expense and Development package of $13,000 per annum.
Candidates will undergo onboarding to CSIRO, including passing mandatory government background checks and complete any other requirements.
