Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled transcription specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will prepare and edit transcripts of the Parliament's proceedings and other related events using digital audio recording and voice-to-text transcription tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and edit transcripts of the Parliament's proceedings and other related events;
  • Utilize relevant technology to efficiently transcribe and edit transcripts;
  • Collaborate as a member of a diverse team to achieve common goals;
  • Meet deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Comply with health, safety, and risk management policies and procedures;
  • Observe the Code of Conduct and adhere to Conduct Standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High level of keyboard/word processing competency;
  • Ability to transcribe and edit to a specified standard in an efficient manner using relevant technology;
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload under pressure.

Working Arrangements

This is a part-time role requiring some out-of-hours work and occasional intra and interstate travel. We promote diversity and flexible working arrangements.
