Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our Storage Layer Services team.

This role will involve contributing to the development of high-performance, distributed storage solutions using Rust.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems fundamentals, including multi-threaded programming and performance profiling.

Additionally, experience with distributed systems, database internals, or building core components for data processing systems would be beneficial.

In this position, you will work closely with other engineers to design and implement new features related to Storage Layer Services.

You will also have the opportunity to lead the development of large-scale projects and mentor junior engineers.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a passion for delivering high-quality software.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, as is at least 5 years of experience in programming, debugging, and performance tuning of distributed and/or highly concurrent software systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing secure, cloud-native storage solutions that ensure performance, automatic failover, and zero downtime.
  • Implementing and operating production-ready applications in Rust.
  • Diagnosing test failures and performance regressions, and implementing fixes.
  • Leading the development of large-scale projects, and mentoring junior engineers.
Success Measures
  • In the first month: Understand the architecture of our cloud storage solution and resolve several bugs.
  • In three months: Contribute to the development of a project, and take on code review responsibilities.
  • In six months: Lead the development of a new feature, and help mentor junior engineers.
