Truyu is a digital protection tool empowering Australians to be in control of their identity. Our mission is to reduce the financial, emotional and social impacts of fraud.

We extend coverage to over 60% of all ID checks conducted at merchants across Australia. In case of identity misuse, Truyu provides helpful links and remediation prompts to re-secure information efficiently and avoid additional harm or loss.

Additionally, we alert you if your email addresses have been exposed in a data breach and offer proactive guidance to enhance online security.

Our scalable digital protection product is built with a full stack of technologies, leveraging breadth of experience across the tech stack.

  • Design, develop and maintain a mobile application using react-native and server side built with Typescript on Node.js
  • Partner with product team to ship high-quality features that solve real user problems
  • Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
  • Contribute to engineering best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability
  • Lead by example in identifying and resolving technical debt, improving performance, and increasing system reliability
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
  • Co-own the product with a technology lens

We are interested in candidates with experience in:

  • Contributing across all areas of the tech stack while specialising in one area
  • 5+ years of programming and software development experience with expertise in react-native, Typescript, and Node.js
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and using tools like Docker, GitHub Actions or similar for CI/CD
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership beyond functional requirements ensuring the right outcomes for the customer are achieved
