Job Role: Cyber Security Engineer

Cyber security plays a vital role in safeguarding democratic processes. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in securing critical electoral systems, leading the implementation and enhancement of cyber defences, and supporting key electoral events.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-impact environment with cutting-edge technology and national significance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets.
  • Lead development of security architecture in collaboration with internal ICT teams.
  • Support incident detection and coordinated cyber response activities.
  • Contribute to securing electoral events, including during peak periods.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Sentinel or similar SIEM tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
  • Hands-on expertise in endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security.
  • Strong system administration skills across Windows, Linux, and networking.
