Maintenance Planner Role: Optimize Plant Performance

The Maintenance Planning Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and availability of mobile plant and equipment on site. This involves scheduling and planning short to medium maintenance activities to OEM specifications, with the goal of achieving maximum productivity in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
This position requires a strong focus on proactive maintenance planning, coordination, and execution, as well as effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation, presentation, and implementation of project plans and conceptual studies to enhance overall operational efficiency
- Plan and coordinate monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance scheduling activities for mobile plant to minimize downtime and maximize uptime
- Coordinate and schedule personnel and resources according to maintenance reports to ensure prompt and effective resolution of maintenance issues
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and safety regulations of all maintenance activities to safeguard people, assets, and the environment
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role within open pit hard rock mining, preferably with expertise in JDE systems
- Detailed knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures for large-scale mining operations
- Proven experience in implementing business improvement projects and driving continuous process enhancement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex maintenance challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and teams
