Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Equipment Optimizer to join our team in Western Australia. This role is a key member of our Asset Management Fixed Plant team and requires that you ensure the optimal performance, risk outcomes, and lifecycle management of assets under your jurisdiction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and optimize maintenance strategies for equipment
  • Create and review critical work instructions, check sheets, and maintenance work instructions
  • Collaborate with long-term planners to develop asset budget forecasting models in alignment with lifecycle expectations for each asset type
  • Design, develop, and deliver engineering solutions to optimize whole-life cost and asset performance
  • Provide technical expertise to support the business in resolving challenging faults and issues
  • Offer ongoing and enabling technical support to projects, operational readiness, and procurement teams
  • Assist site operational teams in recovering from major downtime events
  • Provide guidance and governance on best practice processes and systems to manage assigned category assets
  • Analyze opportunities to reduce risk exposures through process, equipment, and engineering improvements

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working with water management assets such as bore and skid pumps, ponds, generators, VSDs, piping, and valves
  • Reliability engineering background
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of operational experience with heavy industry fixed plant assets, preferably at senior engineer level or higher
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
