Medico-Legal Advisor

As a Medico-Legal Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of advisory services on a national scale. You will oversee a team of Medico-Legal Advisors who provide guidance on medico-legal risk, regulatory obligations, and employment matters.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior lawyer with a background in the medical field to transition into an alternative career pathway. The role offers a unique chance to leverage your expertise to influence outcomes and improve services for the medical community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage resourcing and workflow to ensure consistency of advice;
  • Provide guidance on complex issues related to medico-legal risk and regulatory obligations;
  • Support the client experience across all three offices;

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role, ideally across multiple locations;
  • Legal experience in medical negligence, allied health, or related medical fields or direct experience in the medical profession prior to becoming a lawyer;
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams;
  • Ability to identify risk, manage claims or advisory matters, and escalate appropriately;
  • Background in process improvement, transformation, or knowledge management;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a member-first mindset;
