About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our Shovels area team at Newmont Mining. As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of electrical systems and components on our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance of the equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety;
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner to minimize downtime;
- Work orders completed to the standards set by the maintenance supervisor;
- Meet company maintenance and production objectives by adhering to relevant Australian standards and regulations;
- Ensure the workshop and yard are kept tidy and the plant site is left clean after work is completed;
- Perform other duties as reasonably required;
- Participate in safety and communication meetings.
Requirements:
- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician;
- Experience maintaining HME;
- Current C class manual driver's license;
- Computer skills;
- Experience with Autonomous Haulage Systems and Caterpillar equipment highly regarded;
- Commitment to safety and ability to set a good example of work ethic and dedication.
