About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TAS teacher to join our team at St Francis Catholic College. The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching Technology and Applied Studies and be able to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve school goals and support the growth of our students in their spiritual development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Technology and Applied Studies subjects to students in Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve school goals

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers, and the wider school community

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to teach Industrial Technology Timber (Stage 6)
  • Ability to teach other TAS subjects

Qualifications and Experience

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated TAS subjects and possibly VET courses/s
  • Level B Accreditation by To Work, Teach, and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA

Working with Children's Clearance

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
