About the Role

This Casual Teacher role is an exciting opportunity to join St Philip's Christian College, where we value teamwork, innovation, and excellence in education. As a Casual Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering curriculum material prepared by the regular teacher, while providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver subject matter in a way that demonstrates clear alignment with biblical principles, sound doctrine, strong subject knowledge, current educational research, well-developed practices, and capacity for student engagement.
  • Teach pre-prepared learning activities when required.
  • Develop a positive and effective teaching and learning environment.
  • Maintain discipline in classrooms and other school areas according to college policies and procedures.
  • Supervise the playground and buses by attending to duties diligently.
  • Mark student rolls promptly and report on student performance as required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • A committed Christian actively involved in their local evangelical church.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A clear understanding of being a Christian teacher and ability to demonstrate a Christian worldview.
  • Highly developed classroom management skills.
  • Up-to-date curriculum knowledge.
  • Problem-solving skills and technological literacy.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
