Technical Advisor Job

About the Role:

  • The role of a Technical Advisor is to oversee the coordination of mechanical service and maintenance work carried out for clients on OEM Equipment during planned shut-down periods, Project Equipment Mechanical Commissioning.
  • This includes inspections, testing and analysis on the proficiency of the equipment, planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs.
  • The ability to read technical drawings and schematics, along with excellent planning skills, are key criteria for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination of mechanical service and maintenance work.
  • Inspect, test, and analyze equipment performance.
  • Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules.
  • Lead local Australian and international personnel in various locations.
  • Build and develop relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Work independently and within a small dedicated OEM team.
  • Travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Fitter/Machinist or similar mechanical trade background.
  • Experience with fixed plant Mining equipment.
  • Technical advisory experience with OEM equipment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
