Strategic Project Manager

The Capability Design and Delivery section plays a pivotal role in driving technological advancement across the department.

This team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of new ICT initiatives, fostering innovation, and executing major enhancement projects that align with strategic business objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage teams to ensure planning, monitoring and delivery of work programs.
  • Develop and mentor staff to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Support project coordination to deliver on time and to quality standards.
  • Define project scope, budget and priorities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to build partnerships and negotiate solutions.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, risks and benefits realisation to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate specialist resources on projects including contractors and consultants.
  • Ensure project alignment with agency strategic objectives and government priorities.
  • Comply with governance frameworks and legislative requirements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in delivery practices and processes.

This role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in project management and a passion for innovation and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks.
