About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team at Qube Bulk division, providing complete mine to market and mine resupply solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of prime movers, earthmoving equipment, and other mechanical assets.

Based in our Fassifern Depot, this role requires strong transport and heavy vehicle experience, as well as a diesel mechanic qualification. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our services, which include mine, road, rail, storage, port, and ship services.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a competitive hourly rate plus penalties, with a base rate of $44.49 + penalties + super + allowances. In addition, you will receive tool and call-out allowances, as well as access to our state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of prime movers, earthmoving equipment, and other mechanical assets
  • Collaboration with the team to ensure the smooth operation of our services
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Hold a current driver's license

Requirements:

  • Diesel mechanic qualification with previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong electrical aptitude
  • Experience working with Heavy Duty Equipment
  • Experience in a heavy industry transport or mining environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to work safely
