Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Principal to join our team at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the kindergarten and primary education programs, ensuring high-quality student outcomes and contributing to the overall management of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators.
    • Allocate budgets, positions of responsibility, and other resources within the area of responsibility.
    • Supervise the delivery of teaching programs.
    • Manage programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff.
    • Responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year level coordinators.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Contribute to the development of the school's strategic plan and budget.
    • Implement Department policies to a high level.
  • Staff Development
    • Motivate staff, develop their talents, and build an effective team.
    • Foster a learning environment that takes account of the individual needs of students and helps students to develop their special abilities and talents.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, staff, and the community.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a strong learning environment.
