About The Position

The Energy Market Analysis Team requires an expert in electricity sector operations to oversee registration and connection of new facilities, manage Reserve Capacity Cycle obligations, and procure new energy services.

  • Collaborate with market participants, Western Power, and internal teams to register new entities, assess reserve capacity tests, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data and develop high-quality documents or presentations to communicate findings to various stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the identification, analysis, and reporting of technical issues, risks, or non-compliance related to team functions.

This role demands strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ESM Rules, relevant regulations, and policies in the electricity sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in economics, computing, commerce, engineering, science, or a related discipline.
  • Industry experience in electricity sector operations, preferably with knowledge of ESM Rules and relevant regulations.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data, communicate effectively, and influence outcomes.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, including tendering and contracting.
