Your Role
The Community Youth Engagement Specialist will collaborate to develop and implement effective schools and youth engagement strategies and activities across the Riverina region.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design and undertake specific projects to strengthen youth engagement in the region, aligned with the state-wide youth engagement strategy, working collaboratively with Central Council Youth representatives.
- Implement initiatives to enhance school engagement in the region, as determined by the Regional Director.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of social justice and advocacy initiatives for schools and youth in the region.
- Foster relationships with members, volunteers, and the local community to develop engaging activities for young people that cater to the needs of the communities we serve.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising and Communications team to implement local fundraising initiatives and appeals.
- Support the delivery of timely and relevant communications to schools and youth contacts and stakeholders through technology and social media as required.
What You Will Need
- A relevant qualification in human services, education, or social work.
- Experience working with youth and diverse communities.
- A high level of understanding of community relations, events, or fundraising.
- A good understanding of data analysis and insight collection to inform decision-making.
- Experience working in a membership-based organisation to support and empower members and volunteers.
Estimated Salary: AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
