Minchin Recruitment Pty Ltd is working with a nationwide not-for-profit union with over 25,000 active members, offering bespoke taxation services to its client base. This position would suit an energetic and experienced public tax accountant who is keen to get on board with this expanding service.

About the Position

The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for:

  • Review and approval of online tax returns, primarily for individuals
  • Completion of tax returns for client subsidiaries - predominantly not-for-profits
  • Exposure to a variety of taxation matters including Goods and Services Tax (GST), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Division 7A, etc.
  • Liaising with clients and external agencies

The Ideal Candidate

We are searching for someone with:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (mandatory)
  • Be a Registered Tax Agent or willingness to become
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in preparing tax returns, financial statements, complex accounting tasks, financial analysis, and management reporting
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Xero and HandiSoft experience
  • This is an in-office position
