About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our team at Consunet Pty Ltd. As a key member of our project management group, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our team members in delivering high-assurance software solutions to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large and small projects across various industry domains, including Defence. You will possess strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. Your technical skills in Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence will also be highly valued.

In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to ensure successful project execution, and develop and maintain project cost models, resource forecasts, schedules, financial performance, risks, issues, and opportunities. You will also be responsible for ensuring realistic project plans are developed and maintained.

To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian citizen and eligible to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and access to cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project management and project support team members
  • Cultivate a fulfilled and engaged project management workforce
  • Nurture career pathways for project support and management staff
  • Manage project activities to achieve team goals and successful project outcomes
  • Apply ASDEFCON and SAFe knowledge to shape practical fusion of the two
  • Define and tune project management processes in synergy with the engineering disciplines
  • Understand ASDEFCON contract management and execution expectations
  • Develop and maintain project cost models, resource forecasts, schedules, financial performance, risks, issues, and opportunities

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years' experience as a Project Manager or 5 years as a Senior Project Manager
  • Experience managing large and small projects across various industry domains
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for Australian Defence Security Clearance
