Our goal is to hire a highly skilled WHS professional who can lead our organization's efforts in managing workplace safety and risk.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening our safety outcomes by designing, implementing, and continuously improving our Critical Risk and Contractor Management frameworks.

This position requires someone with a deep understanding of WHS legislation and model laws, as well as experience in designing and governing Critical Risk and Contractor Management frameworks in complex environments.

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic thinker who can lead the development and execution of our Critical Risk Framework (Fatality Prevention Program), ensuring robust controls for high-risk activities.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading complex incident investigations with a focus on high-risk and fatality potential events, and will be able to influence senior leaders and contractor partners.

  • Develop and implement effective Critical Risk and Contractor Management frameworks to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or support investigations into serious safety incidents, embedding learnings into system-level improvements.
  • Deliver timely and insightful safety reporting to inform leadership on trends, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Champion a collaborative, high-performance culture grounded in accountability, leadership coaching, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in WHS, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and governing Critical Risk and Contractor Management frameworks in complex environments.
  • ICAM-qualified and experienced in leading complex incident investigations with a focus on high-risk and fatality potential events.
