Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Litter Prevention Officer. The primary purpose of this role is to implement and manage litter prevention initiatives in alignment with Council's Litter Prevention Plan, Waste & Resource Recovery Strategy 2032, and Operational Plan.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in implementing and managing effective solutions for litter prevention and waste management challenges. They will demonstrate high attention to detail and analytical skills; they will have experience ensuring compliance with legislation and have the ability to produce accurate reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and performance monitoring.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working collaboratively with government agencies, business and community groups.
  • Ability to collect, analyse and report data to support program evaluation and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated ability to manage data, reporting and presentations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of local government processes, services and systems.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Bachelors or Masters) in Business, Environmental Science, Waste Management, Behaviour Change, Local Government, Education or a related field or demonstrated experience within these areas.
