About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team at New Relic, Inc. in Sydney, Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your sales career with a leading software company and be part of a hybrid work environment that combines working from home and office settings.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with potential customers, and qualifying leads to ensure their alignment with our solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactive Lead Generation
    • Pursue new business opportunities through research and networking.
    • Craft compelling pitches tailored to each prospect's needs and pain points.
  • Targeted Outreach
    • Schedule and conduct regular outreach activities such as calls, emails, and meetings to maintain engagement with clients.
    • Track and monitor interactions to ensure progress towards meeting specified targets and goals.
  • Qualifying Leads
    • Recognize key indicators or triggers that suggest a prospect is ready to move into a deeper discovery phase.
    • Seamlessly transition prospects to discovery conversations by asking insightful questions and actively listening to their responses.
  • Research and Analysis
    • Conduct thorough research on prospective clients to understand their industry, challenges, and objectives.
    • Use various sources such as social media, company websites, and industry reports to gather relevant information and insights.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Leverage marketing collateral such as case studies, whitepapers, and product demos to supplement sales pitches and conversations.
    • Share relevant marketing materials with customers to provide additional value and support during the relationship-building process.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of sales experience, preferably in BDR SaaS sales.
  • In-depth knowledge of the QMS and MES marketplaces.
  • Advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation and communication skills.
  • Passion for sales.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
