Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist

About the Role
Koala is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product compliance frameworks for different markets, defining test standards, test methods, and evaluation criteria for test results.
- Plan and execute tests, including scheduling, cost management, and follow-up on results, as well as communication to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with designers and engineers on product risk assessment (FMEA), involving both product design and manufacturing.
- Conduct in-house tests using various pieces of testing equipment and maintain equipment.
- Apply for and renew product certifications in different markets based on market demand.
- Communicate and educate internal stakeholders and suppliers on compliance regulation updates in different markets.
- Support the Quality Specialist and Quality & Compliance Manager on quality investigation with testing evidence.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a quality assurance and compliance role, preferably with demonstrable experience in furniture materials.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of legal compliance requirements on furniture in different markets.
- Deep knowledge of testing methods on different furniture standards, such as EN/ISO/AU/NZ.
- Strong root cause analysis skills, familiar with root cause analysis tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as detailed product specification sheets.
- Experience with report writing and ability to conduct simple data analysis.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
