Automation Engineer Graduate

We are seeking a recent engineering graduate with strong technical foundation and emerging leadership skills to join our team as Automation Engineer.

This is practical, hands-on role with visibility across full operation. You will learn fast, contribute meaningfully, and be part of team that values curiosity, accountability, and action.

  • Optimise efficiency and uptime of our GTP and automation platforms
  • Support preventative maintenance activities and weekday servicing
  • Work closely with Engineering, DC Operations and Planning to align labour and automation strategies
  • Analyse system and operational data to maximise output and ensure consistent lead times at lowest cost
  • Develop and improve scalable processes across low, medium and peak demand periods

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Natural leadership qualities — you've led a team, even if not yet in the workplace
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, operational environment
  • Familiarity with automation systems (e.g. Schaefer/SSI) a bonus
  • Strong skills in Excel, data analysis, and clear communication
  • Flexibility in adapting to rotating shift (morning/afternoon/night) essential
