**Job Summary**:

This role is for a helicopter pilot who can operate in challenging conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience with rotary aircraft and be able to work effectively in remote areas.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Pilot helicopters over varied terrain during day or night, and in different weather conditions.
  • Conduct aerial work operations such as Aerial Fire Suppression, Dispensing operations, External load, winching personnel, Intel, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Search and Rescue, and other specialist operations in support of Emergency Service Organizations.
  • Review and maintain written and computerized flight logs and records.
  • Maintain licensing, training, and checking compliance required by relevant authorities.
  • Ensure all flights, operations, and work follow regulatory requirements, company manuals, policies, and client SOP's, and are achieved safely, effectively, and efficiently.
  • Assist in training crews, aerial work passengers, and task specialists to operate safely in and around helicopters as required.
  • Be responsible for the conduct, standards, and activities of Aircrew Officers and Task Specialists while piloting operations.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Australian CPL(H)
  • 3000 hrs. Rotary Experience
  • Australian Class 1 Medical
  • HUET
  • CRM
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness
  • Low Level Firefighting rating
  • Low Level Sling Load Rating
  • Minimum 3 year and 500 hours experience in remote area and unimproved landing area operations
  • Minimum 3 year and 500 hours background in Part 138 Aerial work operations including firefighting, SAR/ EMS and/or external load operations
  • The right to live and work in Australia

  • Night VFR Rating
  • NVIS Rating
  • Multi Engine Instrument Rating
  • Instructor / Flight Examiner qualification
