About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Teacher to join our team at Griffith University. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for teaching and learning in therapeutics and related areas, with a focus on developing and delivering high-quality course material with current clinical knowledge.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with teaching therapeutics in a higher education setting, and technology-enhanced learning is desirable. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to Pharmacy and Medical Sciences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver course material with current clinical knowledge for lectures and workshops in Pharmacotherapeutics.
  • Foster and engage in teaching & learning research activities, identifying ongoing education improvements and opportunities in consultation with program and course convenors.
  • Foster an outstanding student experience, encouraging active participation and engagement in learning and teaching.
  • Continuously improve teaching practice through professional development, research and critical reflection.
  • Inform the quality, innovation, currency and evidence-base of teaching and learning through scholarly activities, commitments and outputs.
  • Undertake research that has the potential to achieve impact on policy and practice in the wider community.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the School standing and reputation by promoting educational and research activities with external communities.
  • Promote and enhance student learning experiences through engagement with industry and broader community to develop work-integrated learning opportunities and support employability initiatives.
