Clinical Leader in Paediatric Oncology Nursing

As a Clinical Leader in Paediatric Oncology Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the provision of coordinated, safe, and effective care for children undergoing treatment for cancer. Under the supervision of the Paediatric Oncology Medical and Nurse Practitioner team, you will be responsible for patient assessment and care coordination, supporting standardisation of practice across the medical and nursing teams.
To succeed in this role, you must have advanced knowledge and skills in paediatric oncology nursing, with a strong focus on leadership and clinical decision-making. You should be an experienced nurse with post-graduate qualifications in oncology, haematology, or paediatric nursing, and have a proven track record of managing complex patients. Your passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care will shine through in your work, as will your commitment to Monash Health's Strategic Guiding Principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient assessment and care co-ordination
- Gaining experience in enhancing clinical decision making skills and providing leadership, teaching and support to the Nursing and Medical team
- Role modelling and staff engagement through ongoing communication within the team
About You
You are an experienced paediatric oncology nurse with advanced knowledge and skills.
Ideally, you have post-graduate qualifications in oncology. Haematology or paediatric nursing, and you have experience managing the needs of complex patients.
You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients.
What You Need:
- Relevant Qualifications in Oncology, Haematology or paediatric nursing
- Successful completion of or working towards Master of Nurse Practitioner qualification
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric oncology
- Experience in a senior nursing role
- Current AHPRA nursing registration

SalaryEstimated annual salary: AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 depending on experience
