Speech Pathologist Role Overview

This Grade 3 role involves leading our acute team in providing high-quality care to patients in Melbourne's west.

The successful candidate will promote creativity, team effectiveness and evidence-based patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Optimise acute service delivery for a patient cohort with high clinical complexity and acuity
  2. Lead and develop others
  3. Develop skills in FEES and tracheostomy management
  4. Contribute to a successful move into the New Footscray Hospital

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong leadership skills, including interpersonal and communication skills
  • Expertise in complex dysphagia and communication assessment and management within the acute setting
  • Experience in tracheostomy
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise staff and students
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development of self and others
