Australian Asset Management Professional

The role of an Australian Asset Maintenance Manager plays a vital part in ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of assets within an organisation. They are responsible for overseeing and maintaining a team of employees who work together to achieve this goal.

In this position, you will be managing a newly developed Australian Asset Management team which includes providing leadership, direction, and support to all employees within the team Australia-wide. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership, direction, and support to the Asset Management team, fostering an agile, innovative, service-oriented team closely aligned with the overarching goals and objectives of the company
  • To define, manage, and audit the asset management program for the AU Region
  • Evaluate the performance of existing assets, analyse operation, reliability, risk, and failure trends supported by data that identify asset needs and what value the assets add to the business

You will also be responsible for:

  • Managing the operations and maintenance of an asset, maximising operational availability through reliability while looking for opportunities to lower maintenance spend
  • With a focus on cost and schedule deliver planned and preventative maintenance of assets
  • Manage, action, and report on all equipment defects raised, and fulfill all external compliance objectives on safety-related maintenance flags

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar Asset Management leadership role
  • A tertiary qualification in Asset Management, Engineering, or other appropriate tertiary qualification and extensive relevant experience
  • Extensive management experience in a complex and high tempo operational/maintenance environment with experience in asset lifecycle cost and risk modelling, innovation, and asset management problem-solving
