Subcontract Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage subcontracts across all aspects of production and manufacturing.

About the Role

• Commercial management of sub-contract accounts from procurement to final account agreement.
• Providing advice and assistance on contract performance and commercial issues.
• Establishing contractual programmes, forecasting, and reporting project commercial performance.
• Securing labour, materials, and subcontractors to ensure contracts are completed on time and within budget.
• Maximising commercial benefit of all subcontracts and effectively managing contract changes.
• Accurately and effectively managing subcontractor accounts to enhance contract performance.
• Monitoring contractor progress on site and carrying out accurate site and quantity measurements.
• Ensuring contractor payment valuations are accurately assessed, challenged appropriately, certified, and paid on time with the appropriate contractual notices and payment certificates.
• Hosting regular progress and contract performance meetings to facilitate agreement of contractual changes while ensuring that the contractual timeframes are complied with.
• Issuing or responding to required notices in accordance with contract procedures and timescales.
• Monitoring subcontractor forecasts of cost and value of all trades including preliminaries and reporting on same to ensure efficient delivery of the subcontract.
• Accountable for early warnings, risk identification, management, mitigation, tracking, and retirement.
• Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the company's health and safety policy and quality manual.
• Carrying out other tasks of a commercial nature as directed by the line of business production subcontracts manager/head of supply chain.
• Sourcing assigned delivery packages in line with onsite services procurement strategies and plans and accountable for tendering activities in accordance with full end-to-end sourcing process and appropriate legislation.
• Working with key stakeholders to resolve issues escalated through the subcontractors, internal stakeholders, or the line of business production subcontracts manager/head of supply chain.
• Dispute resolution activities as required. Working alongside key stakeholders, ensuring the successful conclusion of commercial disputes, including closure of outgoing or incoming commercial claims.
