Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled apprentice electrician to join our team at our Springvale Water Treatment Facility in Lithgow. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the electrical trade through on-the-job training and classroom instruction while working on critical water infrastructure.

As an apprentice, you will learn from highly experienced technicians in a supportive team environment. You will be responsible for assisting licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, as well as studying electrical theory, codes, and safety practices specific to water/utilities environments.

You will also assist licensed electricians with routine plant issues and troubleshooting, operate hand and power tools used in industrial electrical work, read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications, ensure work areas are clean, safe, and properly secured per plant regulations, and develop technician competency enabling you to become a qualified tradesperson.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Study electrical theory, codes, and safety practices specific to water/utilities environments
  • Assist licensed electricians with routine plant issues and troubleshooting
  • Operate hand and power tools used in industrial electrical work
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and properly secured per plant regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a genuine interest in the Electrical Trade, possess a desire to learn, have a strong math skills, safety acumen to work, and ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
