Business Intelligence Analyst - Data Insights Specialist

The role of Business Intelligence Analyst involves leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency across the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders.

About the Role:
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain databases, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
  • Design and implement data models to integrate multiple data sources and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders through clear, concise, and visually engaging reports.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
  • Proven experience working with business intelligence tools, data visualization software, and programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and approach complex problems from different angles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of Prince2 methodology and Agile project management principles.
  • Experience working in a PMO/EPMO function and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Understanding of the Australian financial market environment and relevant regulations.
