Niddrie Autistic School is a government school in South West Victoria Region and has a reputation for providing an exemplary education for students with autism from Prep to Year 3.

The school has expertise in developing and implementing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and assessing and monitoring student learning to ensure IEP goals are achieved.
The school enrolls students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Its philosophy is to provide an intensive program for students with autism to build their social communication and sense of self and others, guiding their inclusion and participation in early years of schooling and beyond.
To support autistic children and their families, the school provides initial support as each student moves to their designated neighborhood mainstream or special school setting.
The school has undergone a capital works project, resulting in a new state-of-the-art building with 12 classrooms and collaborative learning areas.
Role Requirements- Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in specified curriculum areas are encouraged to apply.
- Classroom teachers comprise two salary ranges: range 1 and range 2.
- Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
- Contributing to curriculum area or other curriculum program development, implementation, and evaluation within the school;
- Undertaking other classroom teaching-related and organizational duties as determined by the school principal;
- Participating in activities such as parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions;
- Undertaking non-teaching supervisory duties.
Classroom teachers will engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills for effective student engagement and improved learning.
As classroom teachers gain experience, their contribution to the school program beyond the classroom increases.
They may be required to undertake additional duties, provided they are appropriate to their salary range, qualifications, training, and experience.
