Due to significant growth and increased workload, we are seeking a seasoned Construction Law Specialist to join our team at Naiman Clarke. As a leading diversified manufacturing, wholesale and distribution company, we offer a unique opportunity for a mid-senior lawyer to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years of post-qualification experience and a strong background in commercial law, particularly in the construction industry. As a Construction Law Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating and amending contracts, drafting standard practice procedures and organisational policies, and assisting the Property team with matters relating to leases and advising on day-to-day legal issues. You will also liaise with internal stakeholders and external lawyers to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate contracts, including construction agreements, supply contracts and tender submissions
  • Draft and implement standard practice procedures and organisational policies
  • Assist the Property team with matters relating to leases and advise on day-to-day legal issues, such as debt recovery matters and supplier agreements
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external lawyers to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of commercial law, particularly in the construction industry, and have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Construction Law Specialist who is passionate about delivering high-quality legal services in a fast-paced environment. As a mid-senior lawyer, you will have a strong background in commercial law and be able to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external lawyers. You will also be able to manage competing priorities and work independently, with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and other benefits. You will also have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team, with a focus on delivering high-quality legal services in a fast-paced environment.
