About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Law Specialist to join our busy team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have 3-9 years' experience in front-end and/or back-end construction law from a leading law firm or an in-house team in Australia or another major construction and infrastructure heavy jurisdiction.

In this role, you will work on complex disputes, including litigation, mediation, and arbitration, as well as claims under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act. You will also provide advice on procurement methods and structures, tender processes, probity, and general project management.

You will have direct client contact and be required to independently run medium-sized projects with support from junior and mid-level lawyers. Your client list will include national and international property developers, major engineering companies, and ASX-listed corporations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on drafting design and construct agreements, alliance agreements, contractor and subcontract agreements, joint venture agreements, and project agreements.
  • Provide advice on procurement methods and structures, tender processes, probity, and general project management.
  • Work on complex disputes, including litigation, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Manage claims under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a base salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
