Connecting Communities One Ride at a Time

V/Line aims to connect Victorians through safe, reliable, and accessible transport. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and maintain a strong safety culture.
About the RoleThis part-time position involves working as a Customer Service Representative on V/Line services, providing top-notch service to customers and ensuring their safety on and around the rail. The role will be primarily based out of Bendigo station, with shifts starting as early as 3:30 AM and may also end at 3:30 AM.
Key Responsibilities- Sell tickets, make platform announcements, assist passengers, and maintain the cleanliness of the station and its facilities.
- Assist during disruptions by coordinating bus replacements and supporting safe, on-time train departures.
- Ensure safety on and around the station for customers, colleagues, and yourself.
- Identify and report safety hazards or incidents.
- Communicate accurate information to customers about V/Line services and other forms of public transportation.
- Manage your time effectively in-between services.
- A Certificate 3 in Rail Customer Operations training program.
- On-the-job experience in rail customer operations.
- Salary progression: Trainee Staff rate during training, then Services Officer rate with loadings & penalties as per the current agreement.

- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and proactively without supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
