Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our QA team in Melbourne on a full-time employment basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting daily reviews of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the factory and externally to regulate company policies and procedures regarding food safety and compliance.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily reviews of GMP in the factory and externally to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits throughout the site, including pre-operational checks and GMP inspections.
  • Perform daily verifications on quality and food safety records.
  • Assist with organoleptic assessments, including daily product evaluations and retention sample checks.
  • Review, amend, and maintain packing specifications for production areas.
  • Inspect returned stock with quality issues and report findings.
  • Help investigate customer feedback reports and internal corrective actions.
  • Assist with product traceability and RM inspections for quality.
  • Maintain sites calibration register for testing and measuring equipment.
  • Assist the QA team with site audits and corrective actions.
  • Assist the QA Manager with additional testing or new process improvement projects and product assessment trials.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • HACCP training.
  • Extensive experience in the food industry or in a food safety inspection role is an added advantage.
  • High level of computer literacy, including MS Office suite.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
  • Be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must have Australian unlimited working rights.
